Verkkokaupan takana 

Olen eläinrakas uusperheen äiti Pyhäjoelta. Perheeseemme kuuluu viisi lasta ja aviomieheni Sauli. Eläinlapsia kotoamme löytyy useampi. Alpo the Chihuhaua lyhytkarvainen sekä maatiaskissa Miisu ja Siamilainen Sulevi. Pihapiiristä löytyy marsula, joka on entisöity vanhasta hirsitallista nyky muotoonsa. Viime kesänä aloitimme kaksosten kanssa hautomo projektin, eli kävimme ostamassa siitosmunia. Brahma valikoitui roduksi ja nyt meillä asustaa 5 isoa kukkoa ja kaksi kanaa. Jos innostuti olisi 4 kukkoa vailla hyviä koteja.

Vuonna 2017 sain marsuille kasvattajanimen HugAlan. Mietin pitkään minkä rodun parissa haluan alkaa kasvatustyötä tekemään. Teddyt valikoitui hauskan ulkomuodon, mutta myös hyvän luonteen vuoksi omaksi roduksi jota pyrin viemään eteenpäin kasvatuksessa. Tällä hetkellä teddyjen kasvatus on tauolla, mutta haaveissa olisi saada vielä poikueita jossain vaiheessa. Tällä hetkellä marsupoikueita syntyy todella harvoin ja harkitut risteytyspoikueet ovat sydäntä lähellä. Talven astutus projektina on haaveissa peruaani+lunkariaperuaani poikue ja toivon tietenkin kaiken menevän hyvin. Vielä kuitenkin pakollisia testauksia luvassa ennen yhdistämistä.

Marsunäyttelyt ovat lähellä sydäntäni ja niissä kiehtoo tunnelma sekä matkustaminen eri paikkakunnille. Tärkeänä pidän sitä, että eläinmäärä marsuissa pysyy kohtuullisena, jotta jokainen saa varmasti huomiota sekä rakkautta. Lemmikkituomarina pidän mielekkäimpänä jakaa marsujen hoidosta tietoa. Sanon myös aina, että joka näyttelyreissulla opin vieläkin uutta marsuista ja mukava on kuulla muiden marsuilijoiden kokemuksia ja vinkkejä.

Marsut ovat olleet sydäntä lähellä jo sieltä 12-vuotiaasta asti. Marsuissa kiehtoo niiden hauska ulkomuoto, ääntelyiden määrä ja persoonalliset piirteet. Päiväeläimenä se on myös suhteellisen äänetön yöllä. Parasta marsuissa on nähdä ilo poppailessa puhtaassa aitauksessa, jossa vähän järkkäilty sisustusta. Marsujen ilo=omistajan ilo.

HugAlan verkkokauppa syntyi useamman vuoden pitkällisestä ajatus prosessista

Ammatiltani olen vaatetusalan artesaani ja ompelu ja käsityöt ovat aina olleet osa arkeani. Samoin lemmikit ovat olleet pienestä asti osa jokapäiväistä arkea.

Tällä hetkellä opiskelen Raahen Porvari- ja Kauppakoulussa. Toivon opinnoiltani lisää oppia kaupanalasta sekä yrittäjyydestä.

Ympäristöasiat ovat minulle henkilökohtaisesti lähellä sydäntäni ja tämän vuoksi tuotteet suunnitellaan kestämään. Raaka-aineet puuosissa ovat aina kotimaisia ja materiaalit pyrin hankkimaan ympäristönäkökulmia kunnioittaen. 

Uni-Jakkaroiden jalkojen vaihto onnistuu uusiin, joten näin ollen saa tuotteen kokonaisikää jatkettua aina uudelleen. Lökö-Riipun pysyvyys Uni-Jakkarassa lemmikkien käytössä oli yksi iso tekijä. Lökö-Riippu ei tipu kovemmassakaan menossa paikaltaan! Tuotetestaus on ollut yksi tärkeä osuus ja kokeilla mikä toimii oikeasti käytössä.

I am an animal-loving mother of a new family from Pyhäjoki. Our family consists of five children and my husband Sauli. There are several animal children in our home. Alpo the Chihuahua short-haired and Miisu the cat and Sulevi the Siamese. There is a guinea pig in the yard, which has been restored from an old log stable to its current form. Last summer we started a hatchery project with the twins, so we went to buy hatching eggs. Brahma was selected as the breed and now we have 5 large roosters and two hens. If I were enthusiastic, there would be 4 roosters without good homes.  

I got the breeder name HugAlan for the guinea pigs. I thought for a long time about which breed I wanted to start breeding. Teddys were chosen as my own breed because of their funny appearance, but also because of their good nature, which I am trying to take forward in breeding. At the moment, breeding teddys is on hiatus, but I would like to have more litters at some point. At the moment, guinea pig pups are born very rarely and carefully considered crossbreeding litters are close to my heart. As a winter breeding project, I dream of having a Peruvian Lunkaria-Peruvian litter and of course I hope everything goes well. However, there are still mandatory tests to be done before combining them.

Guinea pig shows are close to my heart and I am fascinated by the atmosphere and the travel to different locations. I find it important that the number of animals in the guinea pigs is kept reasonable, so that everyone gets attention and love. As a pet judge, I find it most meaningful to share information about guinea pig care. I also always say that with every show trip I learn even more about guinea pigs and it is nice to hear the experiences and tips of other guinea pig owners.

Guinea pigs have been close to my heart since I was 12 years old. I am fascinated by their funny appearance, the number of sounds they make and their personality. As a diurnal animal, they are also relatively silent at night. The best thing about guinea pigs is seeing them happily playing in a clean enclosure with a little bit of decoration. The joy of guinea pigs = the joy of their owner. 

HugAla's online store was born from a long thought process of several years 

I am a clothing artisan by profession and sewing and crafts have always been a part of my everyday life. Pets have also been a part of my everyday life since I was a child. Environmental issues are personally close to my heart and for this reason, products are designed to last. The raw materials in the wooden parts are always Finnish and I try to acquire materials with respect for environmental aspects. 

I am currently studying at Raahe School of Commerce and Business. I hope to learn more about commerce and entrepreneurship during my studies. 

The legs of the Sleep-Chair can be replaced with new ones, so the overall lifespan of the product can be extended over and over again. The durability of the Lökö-Hammoc in the Sleep-Chair when used by pets was a big factor. The Lökö-Hammoc does not fall out of place even when going hard! 

Product testing has been an important part and trying out what really works in use.
